Weekly Photo Challenge – Motion

My photos for this week’s weekly photo challenge are again taken at Downpatrick Head on the North Mayo coast and it links back to one of my previous photo challenge posts about the sea stack here. I love the sea. I love waves and the power and motion they hold. The waves along this part of the North West Atlantic coast can be very powerful though during our recent visit the sea was quite tame.

Over millions of years the waves have formed the sea cliffs here, the seas caves, the sea stack, the wave cut platform and the rocky shore. It is a place full of natural splendor.

  1. Well, the slow but relentless shape changing of the sea makes me think that a short story could work if it reflected this in its theme. Quite a challenge but fascinating. Your pictures are beautiful in the grandeur they depict.
