Weekly Photo Challenge – Creepy

….and this one sad too. Makes me wonder what happened to this gannet and why there was only the head remaining.



Gannets (Morus bassana) are resident along all of our Irish coast and are our largest sea birds with a wingspan of nearly 2m. They are the sea birds you can see flying high and then circling before plunging into the sea. Ireland and the UK hold about 3/4 of the world’s population of gannets.
