    1. They are what we call mountain sheep – a breed that the Irish farmers keep on upland ground. Hardy beasts, that never get very fat. This photo was from a few months back so they had also recently had their fleeces sheared off – which is what gives them the bare look!

  1. I love the energising yellow of the Marsh Marigolds, always found lovely cobnuts hard to eat(?) and yes, thought the sheep looked shorn. Wonderful sheep. The power of 3 is not just in rhetoric!
