No weekly photo challenge this week so thought I used the daily prompt “Fragile” instead.
Butterflies are amazing creatures. Seemingly fragile they manage to survive all an Irish summer can throw at them; some get a bit battered looking but they are no less beautiful.
Why not plant a few flowers in your garden to attract some of these wonderful creatures?
Definitely going to grow the cone flowers along with a few more. Such beautiful butterflies – how about that speckled wood.

It’s had a hard summer with all the rain I think, or maybe escaped a bird attack – who knows:)

Lavender seems to be particularly popular, along with other violet, purple or blue hues.

Yes bees too love lavender -so its a great plant for any garden:)

Such a perfect choice with butterflies for fragile, they are indeed fragile and beautiful.
